Richardson Neighborhoods and the Towns Next Door
8 places covered, each written on its own terms. About 20 miles out from the Central Expressway corridor.
Why the Street Changes the Repair
The radius runs about 20 miles out from the Central Expressway corridor, which covers Richardson itself and then most of the ring of towns pressed up against it. Richardson's boundary is made almost entirely of Dallas, Plano and Garland, so "the next town over" is genuinely five minutes away here. Nothing on the price bands moves with distance. What moves is the arrival window, and you get the honest version of that when you book rather than an apology afterwards.
Each page below is written for the place it names, because the doors are not the same across this city. The Reservation was built in 1961 with streets named for tribes. Canyon Creek sits on the Collin County side and is zoned Plano ISD rather than Richardson ISD. Cottonwood Heights loses its street parking twice a year to the art festival. Buckingham was its own incorporated town until 1996 and is where the National Weather Service documented damage from the October 2019 EF3. Those are different pages because they are different places.
Two practical notes that apply everywhere on the list. US-75 and Belt Line both thicken up from mid-afternoon, so a morning slot lands closer to its window than an afternoon one, and the Bush Turnpike is the quicker route across the top of the city. And whichever street you are on, the ground underneath is the same Blackland Prairie clay, which is why so many of these pages talk about openings going out of square rather than parts wearing out.
